Candidates seeking admission to ETSU's Transitional Licensure Program must submit documentation for ALL of the following before being accepted:
1. A copy of the signed Application For Transitional License, including a complete set of all college transcripts, showing intent to hire by a Local Education Agency (LEA) with whom we have a partnership agreement.
2. One of the following:
3. Cumulative undergraduate grade point average of no less than 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.
4. Qualifying scores for one of the following:
Qualifying Praxis I scores for all three tests: Reading, Writing and Mathematics. (Manual or Computerized testing is available. Go to www.ets.org/praxis and link to Tennessee Requirements. Registration information and list of testing sites (including the ETSU Testing Center) are available at the website.
Exemption from Praxis I by documenting a minimum ACT Composite Score of 22 OR a combined Math/Verbal Score on the SAT of no less than 1020.
