Education:

Centre College, Danville, Kentucky.  Bachelor of Arts, June 1994.  Major in English with a minor in history.  Curriculum requires creative writing skills and sound analytical reasoning.  Studied in Centre-in -London program at Regent's College in the Spring of 1993.

Milligan College, Milligan College, Tennessee.  Masters of Education, August 1996.  Curriculum requires a one-year internship in a local high school as well as research study conducted by the graduate during the fifteen month program.

Educational Employment

Science Hill High School, Johnson City, Tennessee.  Taught challenge American history and Challenge English 11, college Prep American history and College Prep English.  Sponsored the Science Hill Mock Trial team which won the regional competition and took third in the state competition.  Aug. 1995-June 1996.

Olympic High School, Charlotte, North Carolina.  Taught ninth grad academically gifted social studies course as well as the regular level of same course.  Taught ninth grade English and American history.  Coached the high school swim team.  Co-sponsored the Key Club and the Explorers' Club.  Aug. 1996-June 2000.

Central Cabarrus High School, Concord, North Carolina.  Taught ninth grade, eleventh grade, and twelfth grade English as well as Speech and Debate.  Helped coach the high school swim team.  Aug. 2000-June 2001.

Garinger High School, Charlotte, North Caroline. Taught ninth grade and twelfth grade English as well as Corrective Reading.  Aug. 2001-Jume 2002.

University of North Carolina-Charlotte, Charlotte, North Carolina.  Taught English 1101 during the Fall Semester, which is a writing intensive Freshman course.  Taught English 1102 during the Spring Semester, which is also a writing intensive course stressing argumentative writing.  Aug. 2001-May 2002.

University School, Johnson City, Tennessee.  Teach tenth grade English (regular and honors) as well as journalism, which is actually the entire process of creating the school's yearbook.  July 2002-present.

Non-Educational Employment

Gastrointestinal Associates of Northeast Tennessee, P. C., Johnson City, Tennessee.  Filed insurance claims, batched out refiles and first-time claims, made appointments for patients, and recorded payments.  Helped patients over the phone and at the front desk.  Faxed information to insurance companies, hospitals, and other doctors' offices.  Dec. 1992-July 1996.

Talbot's, Charlotte, North Carolina.  Dealt with the public on a daily basis selling clients clothes and accessories.  April 1997- April 1998.

Pottery Barn, Charlotte, North Carolina.  Dealt with the public on a daily basis selling clients furniture and home accessories.  Aug. 1998-May 2001.
