 I have been conducting labs in AP Chemistry, Chemistry and Physics which also enhances student learning. They are also assessed by taking tests, submitting projects and conducting labs.

‘Research Assistant II’, Department of Pharmacology, J. H. Q. School of Medicine, ETSU, Johnson city, TN. Working on investigating the role of Nitrous oxide in suppression of C-reactive protein.

Sept 2001- June 2003

‘Research Assistant I’, Department of Biochemistry, J. Q. School of Medicine, ETSU, Johnson city, TN. Worked on human DNA excision repair proteins, their cloning and expression in various vectors using E.coli as a host. The work involves, plasmid amplification, isolation, phage amplification, PCR, Site directed mutagenesis, gene cloning and expression in different vectors. I am also trained for the use of radioisotopes. I have successfully cloned & isolated one of the human protein by the chitin column method which is needed for DNA excision repair. I am also experienced in handling and maintenance of insect cell cultures such as SF9 and SF21. Expressing human proteins in insect cells and performing plaque assays using insect cell culture.

July 2000- July 2001

  ‘Research Technician’, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, Oklahoma city.

Worked on Molecular mechanism of DNA replication and Repair. Successfully cloned about 30 yeast genes expressing Replication Protein A and also expressed in E.coli cells.
