Parents and Students:
As director I
thank you for a great year and a wonderful 5 years. This will be my
final farewell to all of you. University School has been a wonderful
home for me in the last 5 years. I have watched many of your children
grow into mature young adulthood. I have worked hard to make the
building a safe and pleasant environment. The teachers have been
supportive and patient with my many questions about how a lab school
functions. Many students have been a part of dual enrollment and have
gone on to some form of secondary education since I have been here. Our
standardized test scores have steadily improved through the hard work or
our SACS/SIP teams. Lots of collaborative meetings across grade levels
have occurred to help build a sound educational environment for your
children.
I will miss all
of you as I move into my next career. I plan to attend UT in the fall
and begin work on a masters in Social Work. I hope to return as much to
the Johnson City area in this field as this area has given to me in the
pleasure of my job at University School and the extra pleasure I have
gotten out of looking at these beautiful mountains. I will be here
until June 30th. Please drop by and see me.
