Fourth and Fifth Grade students had a great visit from the Storm Chaser truck!  This man works for the national weather service and has been on the weather channel, ABC,NBC, CBS with his storm footage etc… He gave a great presentation and taught the kids all about how to stay safe during severe weather and all kinds of interesting information about tornadoes and hurricanes.  Ask your kids how fast a tornado can travel, how often is radar updated, how fast can a storm be in the middle of a tornado, how far can debris field of a tornado be, what do you do in a tornado if you are in your house, what is the average life span of a tornado?
