Reported by Bekah
First, I came in and put my backpack and lunchbox away in the locker room. I took my books to my desk and sat down. While I was doing my BFYB I listened to the announcements. Next, we went to gym. In gym we did volleyball; it was fun. Then, we came up the stairs and had Morning Meeting. In Morning Meeting we greeted with a Sarah/ Jamaican greeting. Then, we shared our Current Event Articles. Brent shared first; he shared about two cross country runners getting hit by a car. Then, Bekah shared about two new schools. After that, Carolee explained about Pizarro capturing the Incan Emperor in 1532. Then, Collin read his Roving Reporter. Next, we had Math!!! It was about angles and Geometry. It was pretty easy.
Next, was lunch? “I’m hungry!” said Bekah. We sat down and ate; after we ate we got dismissed we walked the stairs. When we got to the room we started on our math workbooks.
Then Mrs. Goehring said, “I’ve got something to show you on the Smartboard.” “That’s amazing!” said Bekah along with a few others. It was about a “Free Rice Play and Help” website and when you play per. word you get right you get 10 grains of rice for people who don’t have food. It adds up. It started on Oct. 7- Nov. 16 and they have gotten a total of 2,098,280,280. Next, we had our spelling test. Yes, Music. It was real fun because we made ocean drums. After that, was S.S. (social studies). We talked about “Homesteading on the Plains” in our textbooks. That was after the Transcontinental Railroad was built and that was also after the Civil War. We all had a lot of questions, but we all got it somewhere in there. We also talked about soddie houses. Soddie houses were mostly made of mud and rocks. Then, we read a letter from Emma Brown in 1870. Next, was recess “That was the shortest recess we ever had.” said Haley. When we came back in from recess we had science. We went to the new computer lab and did a scavenger hunt. Then, Brent and I played Free Rice and got 150 grains of rice the first time. The second time we did it we got 200. We got a total of 350. Last, I got my books, backpack, and lunchbox and walked down the stairs and went home.
