Reported by Mrs. G.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! On our snow make-up Saturday, we celebrated the birthday of Dr. Seuss all day. We started the day by dressing up as a character from a Dr. Seuss book. Matthias was Thing 2. complete with blue hair. He looked terrific! Then we went to Health, but it was really a free day for gym. After gym, we had a long morning meeting where we greeted each other with a word that rhymed with our names. We had a free share day and lots of students shared very interesting things. Then, we watched "The Lorax" and The Super Bloob Highway", both of which were books written by Dr. Seuss.

Before we knew it, it was lunch time. We actually ate brunch,  which is a combination of lunch and breakfast. Then, we divided into three groups to do Green Eggs and Ham activities. One group made and ate green eggs and ham, another group made green eggs and ham placemats, and another group read the book "Green Eggs and Ham to the K-kids.

Then, after our group activities, we went to the library to read Dr. Seuss stories with the K-kids. Then, we went outside for the rest of the day. It was a wonderful way to start our spring break. I hope that everyone has a wonderful spring break. See you all MArch 24th. :-)
