Reported by Mrs. Goehring

Isaac was supposed to report, but he had computer problems. I wanted to make sure that all of our daily log 'fans' received a report. We are steadily increasing the number of people who read our daily logs. Yeah!

Friday, we were working hard to complete our autobiographies and decorating our senior packets. The packets are filled to the brim with 5th grade mementos. It will be interesting to see the students open their packets in 7 years. I wonder if they will remember what they put in their packets, and why?

Most of the afternoon was spent preparing for the student lessons on Tuesday and Wednesday. We have a range of creative lessons planned by the students. Some of the lesson titles are, "Caring for Cats", "The World of Chocolate", "Gems", "Fishing", "Reptiles", and "World War Two". I can't wait to learn all about these fascinating topics.

We started to clean out our desks and turn in our books. We also took our last Wordly Wise test and our last Spelling test! Yeah! No more tests in 5th grade.

We ended our day with a special presentation for the Green School on the front lawn of the school. We are now Pledge members of the Green School. We have one more step to complete to become a Green School. When we complete our community outreach part of the Green School Initiative, we will receive a big green flag and very special recognition. We are one of only a small handful of schools who have made it this far in the process to become a Green School. Congratulations University School.
