Reported by Mrs. Goehring

We started our day by writing in our Writing Journals. Our BFYB assignment was to use four transition words in a paragraph, which described our day yesterday. Then, we had our morning meeting. In our morning meeting, we introduced another person in our class for our greeting. Next, we discussed the guidelines of sharing and the jobs of the audience. After that, we read the morning message and Mrs. Goehring read her Roving Report from yesterday.

Soon, it was time for Health. After Health we went back to our classroom for Math. We got our new Math books and workbooks today. They are so big! We may have a difficult time fitting all of our textbooks in our desk! Today in Math, we worked on place value. We finished The Math Curse, then played the game 'Buzz'.

Our favorite time of the day arrived! LUNCH! Today we ate in Mr. Well's classroom. We have our own little cafeteria and we like it!

When we returned to the classroom, we practiced our bathroom and entering the classroom procedures. Sterling tried to fool us, but we could tell what procedures he wasn't following! :-) Next, we finished our goal books and made goals for our school year. Katie said, "My goal is to get all A's this year."

After that, we went to Art. When we came back from Art, we got into groups and made five rules for our classroom and presented them in front of the class. Tomorrow, we will finish our guidelines and make our consequences.

Unfortunately, it was raining when it was time to go to recess, so we had indoor recess. Annie's Mom brought popsicles yesterday and we voted on eating them today. It seemed like everyone wanted the orange popsicles. Thanks, Annie!

After recess, we talked about our guidelines and MyGradebook.com. We have to decide on our passwords and give Mrs. Goehring our emails and new passwords.

Before we knew it, our day was over. We packed up and headed home in the rain. It was another wonderful day in fifth grade. Tomorrow, we will all write a Roving Report and someone will be selected to have the first report of our school year on our website! See you tomorrow! :-)
