Reported by Carolee

First, I came in and scared Haley in the cafeteria. Then we raced up the steps, being careful, but trying to beat the bell. When we got to the fifth grade classroom, I said "Hi" to everyone. Then I did my breakfast for our brains (BFOB). It was Wordly Wise. Then the morning announcements came on. We said the Pledge of Allegiance and had a moment of silence. "Who is our line leader?" Ms. Goehring asked. "Oh my gosh! We forgot to spin for our jobs," Bekah said. Next we went to Gym and did flips and such. I almost did a handstand. After that, we headed upstairs to Morning Meeting. Ms. Goehring read a letter from a class in Texas. Emma, Logan Webb, Matthias, Sarah, and Amy shared.

Did you know that today is the birthday of a famous scientist? Marie Curie was born on this day in 1867. Isaac read his Roving Report. Then we checked our BFOB. Next was math. We got out our textbooks and turned to page 287. It was circle graphs a.k.a pie graphs. We found out that 48% of the class like cheese on their pizza the best. All of those pizza equations were making me hungry. We did math workbook page also. Finally, it was time for lunch.

I had Doritos, doughnuts and a ham sandwich. We finished up math and then did our Wordly Wise test. It was pretty hard. After that we read A Soldier’s Heart. Oh no! We finished the book. We also read part two of the newspaper article "Lyle’s Home." After that we sang "Music of Life" in Music. Yes! My favorite time of the day. Recess! I swung on the swings. Next Mr. John did chemical changes. He blew up some stuff. We had 15 minutes left of school, so we worked on our journal of A Soldier’s Heart. Did you know that more men were killed in 2 hours of Gettysburg than in any other previous American war, including the American Revolution?

Then it was time to go home sweet home.
