Intro

Welcome to Fort Sumter! Do you think that you know everything there is to know about the battle? Do you have what it takes to be the ultimate word searcher? Then this is the web quest that you have been searching for! You will learn about the legendary Fort and how it was the beginning of something that would make our country even greater! Since the first shot was fired at Fort Sumter, it signaled beginning of the Civil War. The fort stood in the southern part of the country in Charleston, South Carolina. It all started when President Abraham Lincoln wanted to send supplies to the fort. The Confederates heard and were not happy because they wanted sovereignty over the country and the slaves and they were going to take it by force. they attacked, April 12th, 1861 just before sunrise. General Robert Anderson fought his hardest for the Union, but was forced to succeed. Now it's your turn to fight for your country!

 Task

Conclusion

Congrats! You have survived Fort Sumter! At ease soldier! This battle began a war that ended for the better. The country turned into a union and all was well. It was really a war over rights and the governments power. Slavery was was ended and slaves were free a t4he end of the war.
