Journey to Reconstruction

Introduction

Welcome to our webquest! The Civil War was an important part of our countries past. without this event in history we would have slavery still today. Imagine what they would be like! Because this influential event in history it's important to recognize it. You will be creating a reenactment of an event that took place at theend of the Civil War, leading up to the reconstruction time period. Many events took place during the time between the last few battles of the Civil War up to the Reconstruction time period. You will be looking at events like the Battle of Gettysburg and Shiloh, and other events around that time.

Tasks

You will be creating a skit about an event that took place around 1863-64. Make it fun, yet educational. You will present it to your class, in hopes to inform them of this time period. We hope you have a great time creating your skit.

Process
  1. Research events that occurred during the last few months of the Civil War.

  2. Take notes on what you read.

  3. Choose an event that you would like to present a skit.

  4. Make a skit using the requirements in the evaluation.
