Notes from the Nurse... Julie Russell

I just want to take a moment and thank the entire
faculty, staff, and students (and their families) who supported me while
I was out with my surgery. My surgery went well and my energy is coming
back slowly. Again, thank you to each and every one of you.
Our cold and flu season seems to be back in full swing.
Please keep your child home if he or she has a temperature, or severe,
runny nose, vomiting, or has an unrelenting cough that can’t be
controlled with medication. All of these symptoms keep the student from
learning as well as any other students sitting around them. We need to
try and keep the spread of germs down to a minimum. Also, if you find
medications that help your child’s symptoms or if your child is on
prescribed medications that help alleviate their symptoms, you can have
those medications sent to school so that they can continue to have
relief while still trying to learn. Please have them labeled with your
child’s name, times (if needed) and have them in their original bottle.
Let me know if I can assist you and your student in any
way.
