Sports Illustrated for Kids

KidPub:  This site has a collection of more than 11,000 stories and poems written by young people.  Here students can publish their own writing on the Internet.  "KidMud"
 and "KeyPals" are areas in KidPub where young students can meet other young writers.

Hamsterific!:  This site will help you learn about Dwarf Russian, Siberian, and Roborovski hamsters. It includes photos, a glossary, and info on caring for these pets.

Electronic Zoo This site is a great place to visit and learn about animals without removing them from their natural habitat.  Here students can easily navigate links grouped by subject (animals, veterinary) and resource type (mailing lists, Gopher and Web sites).

Kidlink:  This site connects kids from around the world.  Students can join a Kidlink project or learn how Internet Relay Chat is used for online projects. 

Electronic Elementary:  This site is designed to promote use of the Internet for cooperative projects and student publishing.  This site is associated with MidLink Magazine for the middle grades.

KidsHealth.org - This article contains interactive articles about children's healthcare, medicine, surgery, and parenting. There are fun games, Kids Vote health polls, and the Nemours media guide.

Ben's Guide to U.S. Government for Kids - virtual Ben Franklin explains branches of U.S. Government and how they started. Learn about citizenship, elections, symbols, and more. Play some games while you're at it!
