The Johnson City Area Arts
Council is currently displaying a juried art show by University
School students (created in 2007). The works are responses to the
themes discussed in the Smithsonian Institution’s “Between Fences”
exhibition shown in Jonesborough in 2007 at the Heritage Alliance.
The show is sponsored by the JCAAC, Jonesborough Heritage Alliance
and East Tennessee Foundation. Tanner Blevins was awarded best of
show while Hayes Wexler and Amanda Cooper won honorable mentions.
The Arts Council Gallery is located in Suite 102 in the King Centre
(300 East Main). For more information, call 928-8229.
