University School’s Geometry course is
aligned to the Tennessee State Standards for Mathematics. For more

Materials: A notebook
dedicated to Geometry
A pencil and
eraser (for assignments)
A pen (for
grading only)
Paper
* A scientific
calculator (will not be allowed on all assessments)
Grading: Tests, quizzes, homework quizzes, and projects
will be assigned a point value. Grades will be calculated by finding
the percentages of points earned out of the total possible points.
Homework: Homework will be assigned regularly. Homework will
be checked at the beginning of class. To receive credit for an
assignment, ALL problems must be attempted with the process shown. Late
homework will not be accepted.
Students completing ALL assignments
for a quarter will earn 2% on their quarter grade.
Students missing FOUR assignments in one
quarter will have their quarter grade lowered 4%.
Students will have their grade reduced an
additional .25% for each missing assignment after the fourth.
Please note that homework adjustments will
not be shown on mygradebook.com until the end of the Quarter..
Extra Assistance: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:45
to 3:30 will be set aside for additional help sessions. Please
understand that help sessions are not set aside for homework
completion. Students are expected to arrive promptly and be prepared to
ask questions.
