Extra Credit Opportunity Available. Must be turned in before the field trip on Monday.

Choose ONE of the following options for extra credit. You will be awarded up to 50 points of extra credit for the completion of the activity. You are to use the book you read for your book report to complete the assignment you choose. The extra credit must be turned in by MONDAY DECEMBER 10, 2012!
Option 1: Newspaper Article: Write a newspaper article about a big event from your book. If you complete this assignment you must:
-Have a cover page with your name, your book title, and the author.
-Create a Newspaper name and headline.
-Write an appropriate date for the article based on the setting of the book.
-Explain the event as though you are a journalist reporting the information.
Option 2: Letter to the Author: Write the author of your book a letter explaining how you felt about the book. If you complete this assignment you must:
-Use friendly letter format
-Include a date, your name, the book title, and the authors name in the letter.
-Describe in detail your feelings about the book.
Option 3: Setting Map: Consider the setting of your book and draw a map detailing the setting. If you complete this assignment you must:
-Include your book title, author title of the map, and your name.
-Your drawings must be detailed and if necessary labeled.
-You might need to include a key depending on your drawings.
-You MUST write a paragraph describing why you drew the map this way.
