University School welcomes the visit of Sir Barry Jowett, founder and director of Kongzi Academy, in Nanjing, China. This is an important step in formalizing our International Progam with the Chinese Education Ministry and Kongzi Academy.
Because Chinese culture and language differ significantly, there
is much to do in the next few months to prepare our school for this
wonderful exchange. An immediate priority is to plan cultural
awareness training for our students/adults in advance of visits. To
assist with cultural awareness, Ms. Songshu Li, a graduate student
with the ETSU College of Education, has developed the following
