Thank

Buccaneer!!!
We
would like to congratulate the track team for a great year.
After winning the districts and doing a superb job at
sub-sectionals, the team also did a great job last week at
sectionals. Many were just a fraction of a second off making
it to state. David Smith, Stephanie Davenport, Marie Jacobs,
Michelle Green and Landry Loving will all be heading for
Murfreesboro Wednesday for the State tournament after
qualifying at sectionals. Good Luck! We are proud of you!
The baseball season came to an end Friday night after giving
us a great season. After beginning the season 1-1 1 the
fighting spirit of the Bucs was evident when they came back
and won the District championship defeating Unaka twice to
win it then went on to clinch the Region by defeating
Hancock County. They ended as sub-state runners-up. What a
great way to end the season!
Fan of the month for May is Rachel Kidd.
We finally wish to recognize all of the senior athletes for
spring sports — who have not been recognized yet. Matt
Bennett, Van Mominee, Taylor Fleenor, John Stafford, Philip
Bardes, Hunter Hayden, and Chris Russell.
Go,
