Scholar of the Week

The Beta Club is kicking off our Scholar of the Week!  This week's outstanding scholars are Imani Aziz and Josh Padgett:

Imani is one of the hardest working students at University School.  She has attended UH for 13 years.  Her favorite teacher is Ms. Chisholm.  Her interests are reading, cooking, and kayaking.  Imani is an active member in Pep club, Beta club, and Key club.  She plans to go to ETSU and major in Elementary Education.

When Josh Padgett was told about his selection, he shouted, "Wow!"  Josh is planning on going to college and major in Physical Therapy.  His favorite teachers are Coach Petty and Ms. Wills, and his favorite class is US History.  Josh enjoys playing basketball and football, fishing, and riding four-wheelers.  He wants to continue playing basketball and maintaining his high GPA while in college.

Congratulations Imani and Josh!

Mary Helmbrecht has been a student at University School for four years.  Mary's favorite class is AP English.  Her favorite teacher is Ms. Bevan.  She plans to attend MTSU for college.  Her advice for future students is "To have fun".

Chris Russell has attended University School for four years.  His favorite class is AP US History, which is taught by his favorite teacher, Mr. Cahill.  He is interested in Sports Medicine.  Chris's advice for future students is to "Take it slow and focus on what you love in life".

Tutors

Several Beta club members are offering their services as peer tutors. The following is a list of these students and the subjects that they are willing to tutor.  We thought that perhaps the best way to do this would be for the Beta students to come to the teacher’s classroom where the student needs the help either before or after school.  If that is not possible, the students could meet in Ms. Case's room.
