We are pleased to announce that Dr. Virginia Foley, currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, will serve as Interim Director of University School until such time as a permanent Director is selected.

Dr. Foley will be working full-time to accomplish the goals of University School and to improve our educational program.

Dr. Foley is familiar with University School having worked with faculty and parents as a member of the Revisioning Committee this past year.

Dr. Foley has had a distinguished public school career in the Dalton, Georgia, public schools. Prior to coming to ETSU, she was Director of Elementary Teaching and Learning for the Dalton school system. She has also served as Executive Director of Student Services for the system, as a middle school principal, and as a guidance counselor. Dr. Foley received her doctorate from the University of Alabama. She grew up in Tennessee and completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Tennessee Tech.
