Studies have shown that a family’s level of
involvement in its children’s education has a
much greater impact on academic success than
factors such as how affluent the family is or
whether the parents finished high school or
college. It is very clear that when families
are involved, children succeed.
Purpose:
-
To enhance the overall
University School experience by continued
collaboration and communication with your
child’s teacher, their classmates’ parents
,University School Foundation, University
School Advisory Committee and University
School faculty, staff and administration.

To recruit parents to
maximize parent involvement in school
functions and fundraising events which are
vital in assuring academic excellence,
enriching student life and bring parents,
students and teachers together to build a
strong, unified school community.

Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Represent your grade
level
- Report to the PTC
meetings
- Share pertinent
information with teachers and parents
- Organize class
parties, field trips, field day, other
activities
- Recognize teachers,
administrators and staff birthdays
- Help with teacher
appreciation week
- Chair the Beach Music
Festival grade level responsibilities
- Help the Foundation
with all fundraisers
- Communicate weekly
with the classroom teacher to identify any
classroom needs
- Chair-USAC
representative
