About the Conference: This year's symposium is designed to increase the primary care provider's knowledge, skill and competencies in newly emerging evidence-based patient management in the areas of Menopause, Dermatology, Anticoagulants, Diabetes, Dementia and Substance Abuse.

Our Keynote Speaker this year is Ralph W. Hale, MD FACOG, former Executive VP of ACOG, speaking on the current findings and controversies in the treatment of menopause.
New this year is an interrelated block of presentations updating a wide topical area in Diabetes, including Transitioning the Pediatric Diabetic Patient to Adult Medicine, Diabetic Retinopathy, Gestational Diabetes and a Diabetes Pharmacotherapy Update.
Back by popular demand, Monica Crane, MD will be presenting the lunch session on Early Diagnosis in Dementia: Who Wants to Know? She will cover preclinical and early diagnosis, strategies for telling the patient and family, and a drill down on the drugs, including actions, interactions and side effects. Like the lunch presentation last year, this session will also be open to community members, with a private community Q & A following the presentation. Community members wishing to attend this session will be charged $30.00 (with lunch included) or $10.00 (with no lunch). Also being offered again this year will be a 1 hour presentation on Physician Prescribing Patterns that meets the Tennessee State Licensing Board's educational requirements. This year the presentation will also include information on the Synthetic Drugs adolescents are currently abusing. For those providers wanting to attend this session only, there is a fee of $45.00.
