Three Dually Accredited Residency Programs
The department has three separate residency programs - one in Bristol, Johnson City, and Kingsport, Tennessee. Each program has developed its own individual strengths, clinical orientation, and personality.
All three programs are fully accredited by the ACGME and have AOA approved internships.
While the programs enjoy separate and distinct identities, each is supported by centralized administration, education, rural programs, and research divisions. These centralized offices are located on the campus of East Tennessee State University, in Johnson City. Resident recruitment is also supported from this central location.
