Thank you for your interest in the Johnson City Family Medicine Residency Program! We are excited to share with you what makes our program unique. We know finding a residency that matches your educational and personal needs is no small order and can be time intensive. For this reason, we have worked hard to address your anticipated questions in the most concise manner in this brochure. However, seeing us in person will be the most helpful.

At the Johnson City Family Medicine Residency Program, we are focused on preparing individuals for a rewarding future practice. We provide excellent

opportunities for you to master an abundance of procedures. Our affiliate hospital has both a Level 1 Trauma Center and a Children’s Hospital which offers excellent experiences in emergency medicine, adult inpatient care and pediatrics.
Our curriculum has a strong emphasis on preventative medicine and we have faculty with special interest and training in substance abuse, domestic violence,

obesity, sports medicine, chronic disease management, practice management, and physician wellness. Supported by the Department of Family Medicine at East Tennessee State University, we have developed an interest study group dedicated to patient-physician communications and end of life issues.

If we can help you in any way to answer your questions or provide assistance, we hope you will contact us. We look forward to getting to know you, and ultimately working and living life along side of you!
