I was born and raised in Oakwood, a small town in Southwest Virginia. I completed my undergraduate degree at Virginia Tech where I became a big Hokies football fan. I stayed in Blacksburg for medical school and attended the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine.
I have always wanted to be in primary care and was quickly drawn to the variety of family medicine. My wife, Sarah, and I wanted to be close to family during residency and after a short rotation at Bristol, I knew it was a perfect fit for me. We are extremely excited to have started the next chapter of our lives in Tennessee.
I am a huge sports fan, especially Duke basketball. I also enjoy playing basketball, golf and fishing. My wife and I are very active in our church and we hope to do mission trips in the future.
