I grew up in a small town and during college worked as a nursing assistant at a rural community hospital in Sweetwater, TN. I always wanted to become a doctor and dreamed of practicing in a rural town like Sweetwater. I attended LMU DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, which allowed me to do many of my medical school rotations in rural areas. I fell in love with the idea of family medicine with a special interest in women's health. During my third year of medical school, my husband and I were blessed with our daughter, Lilli. Being a mother is one of the greatest things I have ever experienced and family is extremely important to me. My husband Joel and I enjoy spending time outside hiking and kayaking. We are active in our church and have a dream of doing medical missions one day.
