I grew up in eastern Virginia, where I majored in English and biology at the University of Richmond, completed a year of graduate school at Virginia Commonwealth University in microbiology and immunology, and attended Eastern Virginia Medical School. I knew Bristol would be my next home when I was welcomed by everyone with genuine kindness and a down-to-earth attitude -- from condolences for the recent passing of my grandmother, to inquiring about my family after a nor’easter struck my hometown, to bending over backwards for a last-minute second look. |
| As a bonus, I have extended family in southwest Virginia! I am excited about becoming a family physician because it demands balance and allows intense doctor-patient relationships. I’m an avid Chicago Cubs baseball fan and I root for the Virginia Tech Hokies during football season. I love the beach (looking for a good one in Bristol!) and the solitude of the mountains. I also enjoy cooking, reading and watching movies with my fiancé, Pete, and my black lab, Wrigley. |
