I am originally from Iran. After obtaining a degree in midwifery in Iran, I moved to Toronto, Canada where I attended Ryerson University and obtained a degree in nursing. I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to work in different areas of patient care. The valuable experiences solidified my interest in becoming a family physician. To fulfill my life’s dream of becoming a physician who can connect with people and care for them, I attended the Medical University of the Americas. After visiting the Johnson City Family Medicine Program for the first time, I fell in love with the program’s approachable and friendly environment.
I am so blessed to have a very supportive family, especially my mom, who has always been my inspiration. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my daughter doing outdoor activities, baking, gardening, and camping. In the future, I would love to work in a small town clinic setting as well as join a medical missionary outreach to care for under-served areas.
