My experience in the ETSU Johnson City Family Medicine Residency Program has been a positive one.  Key strengths of the program include having experienced faculty members who are also good teachers and supportive of its residents.  Learning opportunities at our residency program abound through varied activities, including our rich family medicine outpatient clinic experience, hospital rounds, didactics, and health fairs. Residents also gain a wide breadth of education and exposure through rotations in other specialty services, including pediatrics, surgery, and obstetrics.  I was raised by educator parents who stressed the importance of perseverance and diligence in all of my pursuits.  My supportive family helped to mold me into the caring and empathetic individual that I am today.  These personal characteristics have also attracted me to the wonderful field of family medicine.  I envision a career in which I can fulfill my professional goal of constantly being challenged by patient care and my personal goal of making a strong and positive impact on society.  I enjoy participating in church activities and being involved in positive community events.  My personal hobbies include reading and aerobic exercise.
