I am originally from Pakistan. My family moved to the United States when I was 8 years old after a two year stay in England. We relocated to Middle Tennessee from New York when I was in middle school. Tennessee, with its friendly people and breathtaking scenery, was the first place that I truly felt at home. After attending The American University for my undergraduate studies, I was off to the American University of Antigua for medical school and finished my clinical rotations in Chicago and New York City. Although I enjoyed these metropolitan cities, I wanted to return to Tennessee for my family medicine residency. I knew that the program at Kingsport would be a great fit for me because of the small-town, family atmosphere and because it was evident that the residents and faculty shared a great relationship. I know that this program will provide me the best training to become a great family physician. In my free time, I love watching movies, traveling, cooking, and most importantly, spending time with loved ones. I also look forward to moving closer to home and enjoying the beauty of East Tennessee.
