My first experiences in the world of medicine came when I worked as a technician at my local hospital during my undergraduate years at the University of South Florida. Later in medical school, I saw how physicians are often unable to provide the best care due to health insurance limitations, so I enriched my training with a concurrent MD and MBA in health care administration. Now in residency, I get to enjoy Kingsport's unique exposure to complementary and manipulative therapies. This additional training will equip me with more options to help patients, despite their financial challenges or medical complexities. In addition to the complete clinical experiences, I am excited about Kingsport's dynamic faculty and team of spirited residents. Their friendliness reminds me of my family back in Tampa, Florida. Although we are a small family, we have been very supportive of each other and have always made sure that we could spend quality time together at the beach on the weekends. While I loved jet skiing in the Florida beaches, I gladly traded it in for my new hobby, whitewater rafting in Tennessee.
