Rural Fellowship Application Process
Candidates must be board eligible or certified in Family Medicine,
and be eligible for Tennessee and Virginia licensure.
Before an interview can be scheduled, the following items are
required for the application packet:
• Completed
Application Form
• Curriculum Vitae outlining education, qualifications, and
work experience
• Personal statement by the candidate to include background
and area of interest for fellowship concentration
• Letter from candidate's residency program director
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or copy of visa
Application Deadline Date: March 31
Notification Selection Date: April 30
Before acceptance, these items must be submitted:
• Copy of medical school diploma
• Copy of Dean's letter from medical school
• Two other letters of recommendation
• Medical school transcript
• Completed applications for Tennessee and Virginia licensure
Interviews are scheduled with candidates whose fellowship goals can
be met the department's resources.
