The Division of Allergy and Clinical Immunology provides expertise in the full spectrum of allergic and immunologic disorders, including allergic rhinitis, asthma, drug allergy, food allergy, atopic dermatitis, sting insect allergy, acute and chronic sinusitis, anaphylaxis, urticaria/angioedema and primary immune deficiencies. Currently, there is one board eligible Allergist/Clinical Immunologist with plans to enlarge the division leading eventually to the development of an Allergy and Immunology fellowship. We have two convenient locations in Johnson City and Kingsport.
The division is actively involved in the education and training of medical students and internal medicine residents. Teaching, research and clinical activities in allergy and clinical immunology are coordinated through our Division. Major research interests include drug allergy, perioperative anaphylaxis, and chronic urticaria.
The goals of the division are to provide advanced evidence-based medicine to our patients and provide outstanding clinical training. We strive to provide a learning environment conducive to producing outstanding physicians comfortable in managing all aspects of allergic diseases.
