The Division of Hematology / Oncology at East Tennessee State
University is an academic hematology-oncology program that is
committed to the delivery of quality cancer care to the people of
this region, to the delivery of quality teaching to our medical
students, internal medicine residents and medical oncology
fellows at the James H. Quillen College of Medicine and to the
development and growth of a strong clinical trials program that
brings national trials in prevention and therapy to the people of
this region.
The academic faculty see patients at the Regional Cancer Center which is affiliated with the Mountain States Health Alliance and Johnson City Medical Center. We are committed to achieving our ideals through integrated programs in cancer therapy, cancer prevention, basic and translational research and clinical trials. We are also committed to working towards the identification, description and elimination of cancer health disparities in this region through strong partnerships across the College of Medicine and community.
