- Management of osteoporosis and osteopenia
Consultation with Dr. Hamdy includes a thorough evaluation of patient history and risk factors for osteopenia or osteoporosis. Transfer of care for the treatment and management of osteoporosis and osteopenia is also available. Bone density scans are available for those with osteoporosis risk factors (such as age over 65 for women and 70 for men, post-menopause for women, non-traumatic fractures, etc.). Whole body composition scans are performed on those younger than 25 years of age.
