Welcome to the ETSU Department of Pathology. We invite you to explore our website. The pathology department enjoys the presence of a stable, excellent faculty, bright, motivated residents and friendly staff all surrounded by the beautiful Appalachian Mountains in a closely knit community.
If you are a patient or health care provider, please feel free to peruse our pages to get to know us. We have a collegial environment. Our two teaching hospitals and their fine pathology staffs are a short distance from our academic headquarters. We have pathologists experienced in the community practice of pathology supported by individuals with special expertise in cytopathology, derm, forensic, GI, GU, neuro, renal, blood banking, molecular and other fields of pathology. If you are considering applying to our residency program, we welcome your interest. Our faculty, residents and staff enjoy the merits of dedicated service, hard work and excellent lifestyle.
Our mission is to:
Serve the health care needs of our patients by offering a comprehensive range of pathology services;
Educate our students and residents;
Create new knowledge in pathology for the improvement of the health of the people of this region.
