Sevierville Health Careers Summer Camp
In 2008, the ETSU-Sevier County Partnership Advisory Board approved a Three Point Plan for the Sevier County Student Recruitment into Health Professions. One of the reinforcing strategies proposed was a health careers summer camp. The health career summer camp in Sevier County exposes campers to all five ETSU health sciences colleges to assure camper familiarity with a broad range of health disciplines and careers. This allows evaluation of Sevier County students camper awareness of health professions and identifies camper learning. The camp emphasizes "hands-on" and experiential methods of learning. Several demonstrations are preformed which emphasize the importance of science as fundamental to all health professions. All campers are exposed to all health careers presented by the ETSU Health Sciences faculty. Click here for more information. |
