The
Johnson City Medical Center is a 407-bed
facility which opened in 1980. All of the rooms are private and
self-contained, with electronic medical record support. Ancillary
services are state-of-the-art; the hospital has a very active
32-bed ICU, hemodialysis unit, cardiothoracic surgery unit, and
renal and pancreatic transplant service. The programs in
open-heart surgery, transplantation, pediatric surgery and
neonatal intensive care, and a modern cancer treatment center
make Johnson City Medical Center a regional tertiary care
referral center.A busy Level I trauma center is supported by
helicopter transport.
