Students accepted into the PT Select Program must maintain the minimum requirements for eligibility for the PT program throughout the remainder of their undergraduate college coursework and must meet all admission requirements, including taking the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) prior to enrolling in the PT program. Students accepted into the PT Select Program must complete their bachelor’s degree and prerequisite coursework within five (5) years of entering ETSU as a freshman.

Acceptance into the PT Select Program does not guarantee the student that a bachelor’s or DPT degree will be conferred.

Curriculum

Students accepted into the PT Select Program will choose their undergraduate major or concentration; however, PT Select students must meet with the program director at least once each semester for advising and a review of the student’s academic progress.  Selected students are responsible for meeting the PT prerequisite course requirements as well as those for their chosen BA or BS degree. Students are also expected to meet with their major advisor to ensure they are making satisfactory progress in completing the requirements for a BA or BS degree.

Additional Information

The PT Select program is not an accelerated program; students accepted into the program may not enroll in physical therapy courses prior to matriculation in the DPT program. The PT Select program is not a transfer program; prospective applicants are expected to enter ETSU as first-time freshmen.

Students interested in the PT Select Program should contact Dr. Susan Epps, PT Select Program Director, as early as possible for proper advisement and course selection (423-439-8275 or epps@mail.etsu.edu).
