admission criteria
Anyone who has a baccalaureate degree in any discipline from a regionally accredited college or university is eligible to apply to the program.
  • A baccalaureate degree.
  • A minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale on undergraduate coursework.
Application materials that must be submitted to the School of Graduate Studies include an application, essay, official transcripts for all colleges attended, three (3) professional references, and a resume. All applications will be reviewed by an Admissions Committee composed of representatives from the colleges of Business & Technology, Nursing, and Public and Allied Health. Factors given consideration in the admission decision include the following: GPA, professional work experience, writing ability, demonstrated interest in health care management, and references.

Applicants are encouraged to address their accomplishments and goals in the application and their resume. First preferences will be given to candidates who meet all criteria and file a completed application packet no later than 60 days prior to the beginning of the semester in which the student plans to begin the program. Applications will be considered until the class is filled.

Students desiring to transfer to an M.B.A., M.S.N., or M.P.H. must meet the entrance criteria for the specific degree program.
