The Health Care Management is designed for individuals who are:
  • Already working in health care positions and seeking career advancement.
  • Seeking entry to health care management jobs.
  • Desiring greater formal training for career enhancement.
  • Recent undergraduates wanting further training or seeking career enhancement.
  • Desiring to return to school and the job market after a lengthy absence.
  • Considering a career change to the health care industry.
The Health Care Management will benefit health care organizations by providing individuals with:
  • Training in applying business skills and health care concepts to health care management and
  • A greater ability to work in teams across disciplines to deliver cost effective and high quality health care services.
Coursework taken in the Health Care Management certification program will generally transfer to either the foundation or core course requirements of the different master's programs. The specific courses and hours transferred may vary with the student's prior academic experience, career goals and the degree requirements of the desired master's program.

Assessment of courses and hours transferred will be made by the Graduate Program Director in the college to which the student wishes to apply.
