Jay L. and LeVenia S. Allen Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Criteria:

  • Be a rising junior or senior
  • Be a declared Public Health major
  • Have a recognized financial need
  • Have a m inimum 3.0 GPA on all college coursework
  • Have the potential to succeed in a public health career

Sam D. and Jonelle M. Coffey Scholarship Endowment

Bruce A. and Amelia R. Goodrow Endowment

Criteria:

  • Committed to a successful career in a public health profession (preference will be given to students majoring in Community Health, Health Care Administration, and Environmental Health in that order)
  • Preference will be given to students who are residents of either Hawkins or Grainger County, TN or veterans of the U.S. military forces residing in east TN, or to student from any other rural TN county (in that order)
  • Demonstrated academic potential and ability
  • Meet all requirements for entrance to the university and into the chosen health major
  • Recipient must complete at least 12 semester hours of course work each semester and maintain the following GPA schedule:
    • Freshmen: 3.0
    • Sophomore: 3.0
    • Junior: 3.25
    • Senior: 3.25
    • Graduate: 3.5
  • (a break of at least two years must occur between completing the undergraduate degree and beginning the graduate program. A full load for a graduate student will be 9 hours)

William M. "Mac" Hensley Scholarship Endowment

Criteria:

  • 2nd year Physical Therapy student (completed 4 semesters in the program)
  • Tennessee resident and US citizen
  • Reflect high moral character and Christian values
  • Documented unmet financial need

Joe F. Lynch Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:

  • Environmental Health major
  • Recognized financial need
  • Minimum GPA of 2.7 on previous high school or college work
  • Resident of Carter, Washington, Blount, or Sevier counties in TN
  • 1st preference will go to children of employees of the state of TN, thereafter, all candidates meeting all other criteria will be considered

Dr. Francis Ward Morgan Memorial Scholarship Endowment

Apply To: CPAH Dental Hygiene program
Criteria:

  • Dental Hygiene major (declared)
  • 2nd year student
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Potential for a successful career in dental hygiene
  • Must be registered as a full time student and successfully complete at least 12 semester hours each semester in order to receive the award.

State of Franklin Environmental Society Scholarship Endowment

Criteria:

  • Environmental Health major (BS program ) (entering freshmen are eligible to apply)
  • Resident of Washington or Greene counties (TN)
  • Gain an understanding of the State of Franklin Environmental Society through reading the history
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Maintain satisfactory academic standing
