Dr. Nicole Lurie is currently the Director of
the RAND Corporation’s Center for Population Health and
Health Disparities and
is a senior natural scientist and Paul O'Neil
Alcoa Professor of Policy Analysis at RAND.
She has published widely on issues related to
health disparities, and she has worked extensively on emergency
preparedness concerns and the evaluation of the nation’s
public health infrastructure. The RAND Corporation is a
non-profit institution that addresses the challenges facing public
and private sectors
around the world.
Dr. Lurie spent many years as professor of medicine and public health at the University of Minnesota and also served as Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
