Research Focus: I am interested in understanding the process of dietary fat absorption by the intestine and its metabolism by the peripheral tissues. Using cell culture system, I would like to compare the metabolism of small and large intestinal lipid particles, and subsequently determine the essential molecules that regulate their metabolism. My overall goal is to understand better the role of intestine in the development of obesity and cardiovascular diseases. |
