Marc Stevens, a doctoral student in Epidemiology concentration was featured in an video from the American Public Health Association discussing the importance of National Public Health Week. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9V4m6jBYrE

Along with a range of other public health leaders, Marc answers the question "What does "Public Health: Start Here" mean to you?" Marc can be seen at the 0:57 and the 3:29 points during the video. "Public Health: Start Here" is the theme for the 2014 National Public Health Week, an initiative of the American Public Health Association. National Public Health Week is an opportunity raise awareness of public health among the general public, as well as elected officials, policy-makers and others.

Marc completed his MPH training in Epidemiology at East Carolina University and his BS in Microbiology at Nicholls State University. He also has a certificate in Ethnic Rural Health Disparities from East Carolina.
