ETSU Study Abroad Fair

On September 25, student grant-participants of 2011-2012 enjoyed sharing their exchange experiences at the Study Abroad Fair hosted by ETSU International Programs and Services. The students set up a dynamic exhibit featuring many aspects of the FIPSE Consortium for Promoting Cross-Linguistic Understanding of Communication Disabilities in Children. The colorful and engaging display featured a photo slide show, brochures, and other promotional items. The photo slide show gave a real glimpse into the cultural and professional experiences the American students enjoyed while they were at USP and UFSM during May to June of 2012. The rewards of helping Portuguese speaking children communicate were obvious. The display also included highlights of the friendship and future professional relationship that was forged with the Brazilian students from USP and UFSM who spent several months at ETSU. The FIPSE students' willingness to share first-hand stories from this amazing opportunity was a definite highlight of the fair.
