Eligible hygienists must have earned an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited US or Canadian institution. Interested dental hygienists should apply to the program and to the university. Application to the program includes completion of the online program application and submitting a copy of your current license along with a statement or resume relevant to your dental hygiene work experience. The license and resume may be submitted electronically to Dr. Debbie Dotson at firstname.lastname@example.org or faxed to 423-439-4030. Classes are admitted each fall. Classes may also be admitted in spring if there are enough students interested.
All dental hygiene courses for this program are online. However, all students participating in the BSDH Degree Completion program are required to visit campus one time for program orientation prior to starting the program. Orientations are typically held in mid August.
General Education Core requirements may transfer from other universities or be taken online through ETSU or the Tennessee Regents Online Degree Program (RODP) to meet the general education core requirements for the BSDH degree.
Admission to the BSDH degree completion program requires the following information be submitted for consideration and selection:
PLEASE NOTE: ETSU requires a total of 50 hours semester credit be completed at a senior level (4 year) institution to earn a baccalaureate degree. Thirty-four of these hours are acquired through the BSDH online program leaving 16 to be taken, either as general education core requirements or as electives.

|DHYG 3100 - This course will provide licensed dental hygienists the opportunity to evaluate current dental hygiene therapies and interpret them for application in dental hygiene practice.||
|Following successful completion of DHYG 3100 the student will receive transfer credit for dental hygiene courses required for associate degree.||
