Audiology Clinics at ETSU
Students provide basic audiologic services in a setting that
prioritizes clinical instruction. Assessment of hearing including
pure-tone, speech, and tests of middle ear function, as well as
hearing aid evaluations, are provided for a variety of adult
patients from a large regional area. A special feature of this
clinic relates to the hearing aid services that are provided for
income-qualified families through an arrangement with the
Lions’ club. Students are responsible for testing patients,
consulting with patients and families, conferring with supervisors
regarding recommendations, writing and editing patient reports, and
contributing to follow-up testing and treatment plans when
appropriate.
