Speech and Hearing Clinic:
The Department of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology provides clinical services
to individuals having speech, language, or hearing problems. Evaluation and treatment
procedures are performed by qualified students under the supervision of certified
faculty for a nominal fee. Appointments may be scheduled by contacting the Department
of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology at (423) 439-4355.
Dental Hygiene Clinic:
The Dental Hygiene Program of the Department of Allied Health Sciences offers clinical
services including dental inspection, dental prophylaxis (scaling and polishing the
teeth), preventive treatments (application of fluorides), preventive periodontal treatment
(treatment of minor gum disorders), and diagnostic dental X-rays. All treatment is
provided by qualified dental hygiene students under the supervision of a licensed
dentist for a nominal fee. All persons are eligible for the services. Appointments
may be scheduled by contacting the Dental Hygiene Clinic at (423) 439-4497.
Johnson City Community Health Center:
The Johnson City Community Health Center is managed by the East Tennessee State University College of Nursing. This facility
brings together many of the health care resources of ETSUs College of Nursing and
the College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences under one roof with one
goal in mind, meeting your health care needs. JCCHC is a state-of-the-art facility
on par with any of its kind in the United States. Funded by a generous grant from
the U.S. Department of Health Resources and Services Administration, it was built
through the vision of leaders at ETSU, the College of Nursing and the College of Clinical
and Rehabilitative Health Sciences, all of whom are dedicated to providing access
to basic health care services for all in our community and region.
Gary E Shealy Memorial ALS Clinic
The ALS Clinic hosted by ETSU’s College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences
and the ETSU Department of Internal Medicine provides ALS patients with a comprehensive
assessment team all in one location. The clinic gives you the opportunity to ask any
question you may have, receive recommendations from medical professionals, and obtain
information on outside resources without the hassle of traveling to multiple appointments.
The clinic is located on the second floor of the Quillen ETSU Physician Building,
